It was very easy to purchase new queens and organise pick up as we live locally.Both Gavin and Sophia have been very helpful and willing to lend advise.Gavin was extremely accomodating with some urgent advise over the phone recently after finding problems with one of my hives. He was also interested in being kept up to date with the outcome after resolving the issue. Thanks again.

Gavin and Sophie are extremely helpful and made us feel very comfortable with our bees. We gained a lot of confidence from the course and transferred our bees the next day. Can definately recommend Bees Alive to anyone starting out with beekeeping.

We bought a Nuc and Queen from Sophia and Gavin. Extremely happy with the way our hive has turned out - Hive is super chill from a good queen. We also attended their beekeeping course which gave us confidence in properly managing our hive. Both Sophia and Gavin are super friendly, helped us a lot and I would highly recommend. Thanks again.

Gavin goes above and beyond in every way. From happily getting on the phone to help with urgent advice, to accommodating last-minute pickups of frames and equipment, he genuinely cares about helping the bees and his customers - even annoying newbies like me. A rare gem in this day and age, a true gentleman, and I wouldn't deal with anyone else.

Amazing people to buy from! Really helpful and informative service. They supplied me with my first nuc of bees. They even came and helped with my first swarm capture. I went back for 10 more nucs and had confidence I was buying quality bees from a reputable source. If you are newcomers or professional beekeepers they are able to help you on your journey. Very happy with the 5 frame Nuc hive Gavin and Sophia provided a month ago. The queen is just fantastic.The brood is full of eggs, larvae and capped brood. All very productive laying with few empty cells between. The frames are drawing out nicely, 7 fully drawn and utilised in a 10 frame box. This weekend it will definitely ready for the flow super.

I attended a beekeeping information day with Gavin and Sofia. It was a great day. It was good to meet with other new beekeepers and learn together. Gavin and Sofia answered all our questions, presented information and spent hours with us going through their hives. They were generous with their time and knowledge and it was great value for money. They raise such gentle bees which says a lot about their bee breeding and beekeeping!
